Problem: Active Connection, though STILL problems w/Search

Subject line pretty much explains it all:

1) I HAVE verified that my connection is active. I opened up a port for DC++ etc...

2) I am ABLE to access other user's lists and download from them through browsing through.

3) HOWEVER, whenever i search...it comes up empty. I have tried highly searchable things to no avail (i.e. Radiohead, Death Cab, etc...)

Does anyone else have this problem? Doesn't make sense to me...theoretically if i am able to access people's lists...the search function SHOULD work?

I have tried searching on both regular DC++ and ApexDC++ applications.

Depends on whose lists you're accessing. If they're active users, then you'll likely be able to download from them even if there are connection problems on your end.

You should verify that your port is open using something like www.canyouseeme.org or a similar tool.

If your port is forwarded correctly, then you need to make sure that all the info in your dc client is correct, i.e., that you've specified the port #, external ip address, etc. (Using a standard dc client like dc++ makes this much easier.)

Also be sure that your firewall allows connections to your dc client.
